Comparison between pusher type grate systems for RDF and biomass. the presentation shows differences in design, construction and process technology but as well equalities in basics of the combustion systems. Process data for the combustion of RDF and Biomass are shown as well as the range of the different fuels which can be used. Functional equipment are mentioned like feeding system, grate, grate drive, combustion air distribution, grate bars including water cooling system, ash removel system and control philosophy.
