This session will cover the entire siphonic roof drainage design process. Attendees will review the differences between gravity and siphonic drainage to gain an understanding of the benefits of siphonic roof drainage to be able to identify where to use the technology. Participants will learn about the hydraulic requirements for compliance with the ASPE/ANSI 45 (2013): Siphonic Roof Drainage standard and will review an example project design. Attendees will leave with an understanding of roof drain selection and positioning, the do’s and don’ts of piping layouts, and pipe support and bracing.
