Central Arizona Project is the Junior Priority user on the Colorado River, which is shared by seven states and Mexico. Shortage is expected to be declared on the river within a few years, and CAP will be cut first and by the most. This presentation will explain how Arizona has proactively been building resilience and implementing innovative water management strategies to secure dependable future water supplies through underground storage, water conservation, and water-efficiency projects. The session will also discuss the collaborative negotiations aimed at improving the health of the river system.
