A detailed discussion of the civil and criminal regulatory posture of the Trump Administration, how its policies and initiatives may differ from its predecessors, and how local and state civil and criminal regulators may react to/compensate for any perceived lessening regulatory vigor.

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Gain insight into how the Trump Administration has professed it will approach regulation of businesses generally, with a focus on the construction industry.
  • Gain insight into how certain state and local civil and criminal regulatory agencies have expressed concern over any lessening of regulatory investigative activity and enforcement and committed to "picking up the slack" of any lessening of regulatory vigor.
  • Gain insight into current and anticipated regulatory initiatives, including -- for example -- heightened scrutiny of construction safety through civil and criminal investigation and enforcement.
