This update addresses industry issues impacting payment, insurance, terminations, indemnification, mediation and arbitration, and notice. This session will highlight the most significant changes and strategize how you can leverage in contract negotiations on specific provisions in the new 2016/17 editions.

· Understand how you can leverage updated contract language in ConsensusDocs and AIA standard documents in your contract negotiations, including manuscripted documents.
· Understand a general contractor's perspective on recent changes to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) A201 revisions.
· Understand how changes in construction practices, case law, and the insurance market need to be reflected in your contracts.
