STEM17 | Innovative Mathematics: Real World Application Meets Creativity and Online/Free Tools (Room Booth 2149)

Learn about new innovative strategies for teaching math to students to develop deeper understanding and a passion for math. Helping students relate to math that they are working on will result in them being more engaged and more likely to retain the information. Strategies will include Real World Applications, Student Voice, Digital Ink, Creativity, implementing Microsoft Tools, and a plethora of free online math resources such as Engage NY and Illustrative Mathematics. Educators  will be able to take-away steps to help them apply strategies and ideas to their classrooms.
