C337 | Appropriate Limits on EdTech: Drawing Boundaries in a 1:1 World (Room SOUTH 310A)

Technology is everywhere, both in and outside of schools. While tech plays an essential role in our classrooms and can support positive learning outcomes, we must also thoughtfully assess the boundaries to place on edtech and how to appropriately control expectations. In this discussion, panelists will evaluate an education system where most learners have personal or school-administered devices available at all times and consider key questions: How do schools develop appropriate expectations around the role of tech in driving learning? What limits should we place on the usage of edtech? Are there boundaries to be drawn, and where are they? Participants will gain insights from experts who have considered the questions from multiple angles.
