Gamification is the use of game design to enhance educational content, which increases participation, engagement, and motivation. It provides opportunities for students to develop meaningful skills, such as critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and an understanding of how to apply these skills. In this session, participants will learn how gamification in the classroom can transform the classroom experience. We will explore a variety of gaming tools and applications that can be used to engage students through assessments, defining learning goals, structuring the gamified experience, and applying it to everyday teaching and learning. Attendees will get a hands-on experience focused on gamifying the learning in their classroom through established gamification models and award-winning tools
