Tracks: Future of EdTech Educator

Three years ago, Pine Crest School implemented its Innovation Program, including the building and staffing of Innovation Labs where students design and build projects integrated with classroom curriculum. This fall, we created a new nine-week long course for seventh- and eighth-graders focused on software tools used to create for digital fabrication machines. Our goal was to use the least number of software tools possible while enabling students to create with the greatest number of fabrication machines (3D printers, laser cutters, CNC, plotters, vinyl cutters, and more). In this session, we will share curriculum and projects that have been successful for our students and how we are iterating the course for constant improvement.
