Technology is present in everything educators do in schools and districts, so the considerations for delivering effective professional development and training are essential. When educators school- and district-wide are familiar with the capabilities of available tech tools, bought into the benefits they can provide for student learning, and properly trained on utilizing them in instruction, ed tech can enhance learning in a powerful way. When strong PD programs are not present, on the other hand, the promising potential of technology, and instruction as a whole, is not realized. In this panel discussion, experts who have worked in relevant roles throughout the education field will analyze the key considerations for effective PD programs and provide diverse insights.
