One of the greatest threats to any grain operation is an explosion. A dust or vapor cloud ignition can destroy primary equipment, spread to interconnected machinery or into the plant, and cause secondary explosions. Fortunately, there are proven ways to prevent this threat. This presentation covers how explosions initiate and propagate and the types of processes and equipment most commonly exposed to deflagrations.
