26 Jan 18
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Tracks: Future of EdTech Educator

In 1956, Benjamin Bloom developed a set of categories for learning called Bloom’s Taxonomy for Learning. During the 1990s the taxonomy was updated to reflect 21st century skills. Since then, Allen Carrington created a Wheel of Pedagogy to guide educators in mobile application integration. These levels can and should be applied to digital learning. This session will have you making the connection between Bloom’s Taxonomy and SAMR as you explore digital apps that align with the various taxonomy levels. See examples from K-12 students and teachers who are taking their learning to the next level. This session supports using any mobile device to engage students in learning at all levels of Bloom's Taxonomy.
