One of the ways we can prepare and teach these children for the future is using coding in the classroom. If we start with the youngest student and give them the foundational knowledge that they can build on, we will be able to give them a head start. The best part of coding is teachers don’t have to know it all! Students will teach themselves how to code. When participants leave this session, they will have a basic understanding of coding. They will have a “coding toolkit” that they can use in any subject matter to engage students in sharing their learning. A complete K-5 coding curriculum will be shared, with student work samples and teacher reflections.
