This session will showcase experiences and issues surrounding the integration of energy storage in California over the last decade. One of the first recent energy storage projects have now matured and the presenters I this session will describe the good-and-bad. The key Tehachapi Storage Project (TSP), jointly funded by the Department of Energy (DOE) and Southern California Edison (SCE), will be also discussed. Finally, the session speakers will explore the future role of storage and business cases based on their experiences with the technology. Utility demonstrations of dynamic phase balancing and experiences with other ancillary services will also be included.
