Tracks: Disruptive, Emerging and Innovative Technologies
Innovative technologies and approaches such as blockchain and transactive energy will enable the transformation of today’s existing energy markets. This panel will discuss many of issues related to this transformation including the business, operational and technical aspects of a future energy transactional platform created by combining DERs and load controls using blockchain. It will also look at how such a system can be used by Transmission System Operators (TSO) and Distribution System Operators (DSO) to incentivize and use flexible resources in the distribution grid and coordinate the utilization of transactional energy.
