How do you evaluate and improve the effectiveness of your training program? The CFAI Accreditation Category 8 is dedicated to self-assessment of your training program. This presentation will look at evaluating the effectiveness of your training program, and will also look at some of the common pitfalls of most fire department training programs. The instructor will discuss the role of the training officer and the training division, in addition to the company officer and chief officer roles in the trainging program. Key objectives to this presentation are: (1) evaluating the effectiveness of your current training program; (2) improving the effectiveness of your training program with tools you can implement tomorrow; and (3) looking at new ideas in training and dealing with the 21st century Generation "Y" learner.
