The presentation will outline the actions and lessons learned during the consolidation of the EMS and Fire Departments in the City of Pearland (TX) into the Pearland Fire Dept. In 2013, accomplished through the Fire Marshal’s Office, the Office of Emergency Management and the City of Pearland Code & Health Enforcement Office. Jason Jackson will discuss the challenges faced from inception to present day along with the many lessons learned and the identified areas for improvement that still challenge the department to date. He will also discuss important data, case studies conducted, equipment and apparatus need changes, cross training needs and accomplishments, rapid department growth, and the need for a change in the culture of the department.
