This course is designed to educate participants on the proper use of rigging equipment for Overhead Cranes and Cargo Securement, underlining the importance of knowing the proper equipment to be used for the job at hand. Rob will cover the proper usage of below the hook lifting devices in overhead cranes, such as chain and wire rope slings as well as rigging hardware. He will also review the new cargo securement standards and how they change the way motor carriers use cargo securement devices to prevent articles from shifting or falling. Rob will also discuss common mistakes and equipment misuse, emphasizing what equipment is proper and safe for Overhead Crane Rigging versus Cargo Securement Rigging.
