Work-related injuries are a major source of lost productivity for the Delaware Visiting Nurse Association. These injuries negatively impact staff morale, job satisfaction and performance, and result in pain and suffering among caretakers. In this session, you’ll learn about a project that aimed for a 50 percent or greater reduction in injuries for field clinicians, including physical therapists, nurses, social workers, home health aides, speech therapists and occupational therapists.We’ll discuss the injury data analysis, field risks/root causes (human performance, equipment, environment or systems) and action plans.
