Photoshop Creativity in a Blended Learning Environment (Room Bayhill 18)

25 Jan 18
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Tracks: Future of EdTech Educator

Learn Adobe Photoshop in a blended environment to design creative projects for any curricular area. Participants at any skill levels will experience direct instruction, collaboration and creativity activities, and exploration of online resources — culminating in work time to develop a project idea. Grouped by experience levels, you will learn to navigate the Photoshop workspace, use selection tools effectively, manage image layers, troubleshoot image size and resolution, combine images, and add and format text, all while planning creative classroom lessons. Using a station rotation model, each group will move through the station experiences, followed by work time individually or in pairs to create a project. Stations include: A) acquire knowledge -— small group direct instruction; B) brainstorm project ideas; and C) choice — individual learning through online tutorials or project work. You will need a laptop with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, and a headset or earbuds. The free trial of Photoshop is available at http://www.adobe.com/downloads.html
