Printed Carbon Nanotube Sensor for Gas Detection
Thursday, February 15, 2018
11:40 AM - 12:00 PM

For years, the use of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in the field of gas sensor technology has been a subject of interest. The unique morphological properties of CNTs coupled with their capability to be functionalized with noble metals, metal oxides, and polymers makes them a compelling technology as a gas sensing platform. The Brewer Science printed CNT-based gas sensor array is capable of detecting multiple gases from a single printed electronic sensor that capitalizes on these technological advances with the advantages of a printed electronics manufacturing line. The InFlect ™ gas sensor is lightweight, requires low power, and reacts faster to the exposed environment compared to other gas/VOC sensor technologies. This presentation will discuss the technology behind these CNT-based gas sensors and the applications enabled by them.
