In the United Kingdom, every student in every grade learns computer science. And last year, over a million students in the U.K. were given a micro:bit small-board computer to aid in their learning of computational thinking and computer programming skills. This session will discuss the implementation of the Computer Science for All initiative in the United States and how physical computing tools and curricula such as the micro:bit and Project Lead the Way can enhance student learning of science, computer science and making in the U.S.
