The role of an education IT leader is ever evolving. It is a job that is "easily done poorly, but exceptionally challenging to do well". Education IT professionals from a variety of school district organizations - small, large, public, private - share the essential skills and strategies needed to support teaching and learning in a technology enriched setting. Schools are becoming more and more technology dependent to achieve both the academic and social goals inherent in the mission and vision of today's schools. Technology tools for school operations as well as technology tools for learning cannot fail. Today's Education IT professional must be able to marry technical expertise with leadership. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with Education IT professionals who have a proven track record and history of success in leading IT support in schools.
