Tracks: Future of EdTech Educator
Let's move away from a list of favorite tools to place learning front and center. As a classroom teacher at the very start of a one-to-one mobile device deployment all I could think about were apps. I was on the hunt for the perfect app. But just like the cart of Chromebooks you share with your grade level team or the computer lab you have access to a few days a week, when students held those tablets in their hands I quickly learned that what I was looking for was more than just an app. This session introduces a framework for task development that helps educators connect curriculum goals to learning experiences. As attendees place tasks before apps they will identify how digital tools elevate and energize traditional tasks while honoring student curiosity.
