Several years ago Downingtown had a radical proposal - reduce high school students' seat time by 50% and put the rest of the class online through a blended learning program. The results have been increased achievement as evidenced by a recent study of the program by Harvard Business School. In addition, students experience improved time management skills, more collaboration, less stress and greater flexibility and independence. Teachers are given more opportunities for small group learning and more flexible schedules. Come learn about the professional development, marketing, technology tools, and ongoing data analysis that we use to grow the program by hundreds of students year after year.
