The K-12 Computer Science Framework calls for computer science education, even in early education. Children learn through play; using tangible objects to explore and name concepts important for computer science helps to build solid foundations for later computer-based learning. In this workshop, learn how to develop a curriculum that addresses problem-solving, iteration, patterns, sequence, and the representation of actions using tangible toys and playing and working together. PreK through first-graders can learn CS concepts while playing with marble runs, train layouts and Cubetto, the wooden Montessori-approved robot from Primo Toys.
