iPads in Primary will be a session that will detail specific procedures and apps that young learners can utilize when learning different academic and social concepts. The apps that I have used in my kindergarten classroom include Drawing Pad, ChatterPix, PicCollage, SeeSaw and more. When thinking about technology in primary education, you must think that the careers we are preparing our learners for, are not even created yet. iPads in Primary will allow you to see the possibilities of creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking during the early learning years. During this session, I will allow for discussion, and about 7-10 minutes to create a final product before leaving, because after all when we are active in learning we can teach others. We will discuss creation, parent communication and the structures that are needed in order to make iPads effective in your classroom tomorrow.
