Join in this session for administrators and school leaders to discover ways to improve teacher practice and student learning outcomes through personalized professional development. Discussion will focus on systems to create customized school/district programs that combine formal and informal PD experiences and on methods that prioritize impact and deep-learning through mastery of competencies and skills. With sustained cycles of inquiry, collaboration, and reflection, learning recognition structures of microcredentialing and badging will be shared and explored. School/district program-related discussion will center on prioritization of quality, capacity, and evidencing and direction for next steps will be outlined. Session participants will learn ways to recognize highly-collaborative informal learning practices, including Twitter Chats, Edcamps, blogging, mentoring, and highly-relevant informal learning practices, including courses/modules, webinars, action research, curation and procurement of resources/OERs. Come be a part of the #CollaborativePD movement and create impact by leveraging emerging technologies, high-quality instructional materials, and customized, cooperative learning.
