Paulette Jordan is the first Native American woman to run for Governor of Idaho. An enrolled citizen of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe of Idaho, Paulette is a mother, a businesswoman, and former member of the Idaho House of Representatives. Currently, she serves as Chair of the Energy, Natural Resources, and Transportation Committee for the National Caucus of Native American State Legislators; is a member of the Idaho Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and is a two-term NIGA board member. In this session, Paulette will talk about her journey from the Coeur d’Alene Indian reservation to the Idaho State Legislature and beyond. Her compelling story is one of inspiration and perseverance.
