The federal government is advancing a new phase of payment integrity modernization focused on stronger payment verification, expanded data sharing and increased use of secure electronic collections and disbursements. The U.S. Department of the Treasury is playing a central role in coordinating these efforts across agencies to better prevent fraud, reduce improper payments and protect taxpayer dollars.
