Executive functioning encompasses multiple skills necessary for students to both regulate themselves and also be able to achieve their goals. Teaching and practicing these skills benefits all of our students. This session will focus on executive functioning and how it can be addressed from a multidisciplinary approach from individuals within your buildings and districts. Attendees will learn about the components of executive functioning then explore executive functioning programs and curricula commonly utilized in educational settings for universal, tier two, and tier three interventions. Additionally, presenters will discuss how individuals within your special education team can collaborate to assess and create interventions for our students in special education. This session will ask attendees to reflect on current practices and readiness to support students with executive functioning needs in your district. You will walk away equipped with actionable strategies and a clear road map to drive positive change within your educational environment.
