Educators nationwide are tackling the special education personnel shortage with innovative solutions. This session highlights an integrated approach that guides students from high school career exploration through college preparation, post-bachelor certification, and into the workforce. This session highlights dynamic strategies to strengthen apprenticeship programs, attract and develop future special educators and service providers, accelerate certification pathways, and improve retention. Special Education Leaders will share diverse approaches, including strategic collaborations, targeted support systems, and resource optimization, to meet the evolving needs of today’s students. Attendees will gain valuable insights into effective initiatives shaping the future of special education and building a stronger educator workforce.
