Transition from School to Work
The digital economy is reshaping industries and creating new career opportunities at an unprecedented rate. However, students with disabilities often face significant barriers to accessing these opportunities due to lack of accessible technology, resources, and training. This session aims to address these challenges by providing actionable strategies for special education administrators to increase students' access to business skills such as promotional marketing (branding), digital marketing (social media) and business development during the high school years, so that they are better positioned to access the digital economy as adults. Ultimately, it is important for administrators to ensure that students with disabilities are not left behind in a rapidly evolving workforce.
