Forging Partnerships: Collaborative Leadership
Collaboration is not possible without effective communication. This session will introduce strategies to expand positive school environments, increase academic progress, enhance problem solving, and assist in conflict resolution. Participants will explore a variety of techniques to enhance communication, including use of surveys, establishment of family-friendly websites, utilization of educational portals and engagement platforms, and implementation of social media techniques. Leaders will be encouraged to think creatively about their own approaches to communication and will develop an implementation goal for the improvement of schoolwide policies and practices. When effective, open, and authentic communication occurs, successful collaboration is not far behind.
