CASE Conf 2025

Empowering Administrators, Teachers & EPPs with Tools for Continuous Growth in Educator Pedagogy (Room 206 A second floor)

Educators arrive in their classrooms with a range of pedagogical skills. The High-Leverage Practices (HLPs) published by CEEDAR and CEC support all educators in fostering student engagement and learning. North Carolina CEEDAR created the HLP Continuum to address the variability of skills seen in new educators. To promote inclusive practices, the continuum supports LEAs with bridging educator development from pre-service to in-service for special and general educators. The continuum provides guidance on incorporating HLPs into teacher preparation, induction, coaching/mentoring, and professional development programs. During the presentation, attendees will learn how to leverage teacher assessment data to develop and implement personalized professional development pathways. The presenters will share steps for how to implement the HLP Continuum in your setting. Attendees will be provided resources connected to each HLP and collaborate in developing action plans for implementation with real-life scenarios.
