Industrial Real Estate Management
COVID-19’s evolving impact on infrastructure, the economy, and worldwide public health has invoked a new sense of urgency and willingness among real estate owners to optimize industrial workspaces. The January 2022 report, A Better Box: Optimizing Industrial Spaces For Employee Health and Wellness, authored by the Center for Active Design and QuadReal, offers a robust plan with evidence-based guidelines for retaining top talent, reducing injury and absenteeism, lowering stress levels, mitigating the risk of contagious disease transmission, decreasing risk of chronic illness, increasing job satisfaction, and ultimately improving productivity. In this session, the Center for Active Design, the operator of Fitwel and a leader of the healthy building movement, will moderate a conversation with stakeholders across the industrial sector on not just the importance of optimizing industrial workplaces for employees from a health and business perspective, but also how to achieve these goals.
