Much has been written about the tech talent shortage, but equally if not more important is the soft skills gap. Recent studies found that 59% of surveyed hiring managers and 89% of executives reported difficulty in recruiting candidates with the requisite soft skills, such as communication, teamwork and leadership. Research conducted by Future Workplace and Mursion reported more than two-thirds of respondents had either already implemented a virtual reality training program for soft skills or planned to implement one within two years. In this session, you’ll learn how companies are using VR to train employees in soft skills such as handling difficult conversations; discussing diversity, equity and inclusion issues; receiving peer feedback; and making sales presentations. You’ll also learn why using VR creates an emotional connection between the content and the learner, and how companies are measuring their VR investment.
