F601: Markets & Energy Incentives for Manufacturing - PAID SESSION (Room S404bc)

Where Are the New Markets for Metal Forming, Fabricating, Welding and Finishing? The Answer is Blowing in the Offshore Wind
The offshore wind industry is the fastest growing energy sector in the U.S. Projected to outpace the oil and gas sector, offshore wind is forecasted to be a $70 billion opportunity for supply chain companies. The Business Network for Offshore Wind is a leading authority on U.S. offshore wind and will provide a unique and exciting market insight session. Using our interactive OSW Market Dashboard and Supply Chain Connect tools we will highlight the economic potential that can be derived from recent industry investments in a New Jersey monopile foundation facility, steel tower manufacturing in New York, and the sourcing of secondary steel, products and services from around the country. Our private sector members, who are making these investments, will share their expertise in designing, assembling, and installing massive steel infrastructures. Attendees won’t want to miss this session or their chance to jump into a brand new “hot” industry sector.
