Hoshin Kanri (Policy Deployment) is a way to create and implement strategic planning that involves every level of an organization. It avoids the tendency to create a plan that collects dust on a shelf, and instead engages everyone and ties their activities to achieving corporate goals. Done well, it can also serve as a tool for lean sustainment. Lean is a journey of continuous improvement, and Hoshin Kanri is a tool that helps to sustain the journey and points a company in a common direction. This session will cover Hoshin Kanri from the selection of dates and participants through pre-work and then the actual event itself. But it doesn't stop there! We will also look at communication and how to use "catchball" to engage an entire company in fleshing out specific goals and activities for the ensuing year.
