In 2018, the World Health Organization reported that 1.35 million people died on the road. At Cambridge Mobile Telematics, our goal is to improve road safety by understanding what goes into a crash, and then building technology to reduce those factors. In 2019, we found that more than half of vehicle crashes were a result of phone distraction. In this session, we’ll discuss how accurate measurement of driving quality – acceleration, speeding, hard braking, turning and mobile phone distraction – with smartphone and IoT sensors can generate behavioral feedback to make better drivers.
