Distracted driving has become an epidemic. Tom Goeltz, CSP, has over 30 years of safety and risk management experience. In this session, Tom will share his experience of losing his daughter because of a distracted driver – and how that event has motivated him to make a difference. He’ll talk about raising awareness through education, making distracted driving socially unacceptable, the dangers associated with any use of cellphones or electronic devices behind the wheel, the need for increased law enforcement efforts and stronger legislation on distracted driving in all states, and the establishment of corporate safety policies that prohibit all use of cellphones while driving.
