No One Likes a Safety Cop

One of the most potentially impactful roles you have as a safety leader – at any level within an organization – is your ability to coach and influence behavior change. However, talking to someone about their unsafe actions can be quite challenging. Despite our sincere efforts, we may end up playing the role of the “safety cop.” And no one likes a safety cop! This session will discuss why so many safety “interventions” fail, review some critical do’s and don’ts, and provide practical examples of how to have meaningful conversations with someone about their safety.
