The safety improvement benefits of behavior-based safety and human and organizational performance have been demonstrated in numerous organizational settings. Unfortunately, these approaches are often presented as competing tools. The reality is HOP and BBS are generally aligned philosophically, and both offer unique tools to help improve systems, behaviors and communication to prevent injuries and fatalities.
