Workshop offers a hands-on approach to designing and installing planting beds of all shapes and sizes. The full day class breaks down various types of plant material into form, texture and color, teaching participants how to size, select and combine woody and herbaceous plants. Participants are also exposed to best practices of installation and management including soil preparation and efficiency. Final project involves participants creating hand-rendered plan and elevation views of planting beds as well as cost estimating for profit. All drafting equipment, materials and supplies are provided.
