Construction Super Conference 2018

S36 ABA - Getting Your Bells and Whistles Admitted: Making the Most of Demonstrative Evidence in a Construction Trial (Room Encore Ballroom 7)

Words don't always fully project the magnitude of a claim or defense. Construction trial attorneys need to be able to grab and keep the jury's attention. This can be accomplished using effective demonstrative evidence. This program will review the need for and use of complex, but effective, demonstrative evidence, how to create it and most importantl and how to get it in front of the jury. This program will also include an admissibility hearing on the use of proffered evidence.

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate evidence will be effective in persuading the jury.
  • Distinguish between effective demonstrative evidence and evidence that creates further confusion.
  • Present proposed demonstrative evidence to assure that it will be admissible.
