Future of EdTech Educator
Most of us have seen the excitement involved with playing a digital game. A vast majority of people play games as a pastime now. If educators could harness the excitement and engagement of playing digital games in the classrooms, then students would truly experience hands-on, brains-on learning using the digital media that is an everyday part of their lives outside of schools. This interactive presentation is based on the book "Game On: Using Digital Games to Transform Teaching, Learning, and Assessment" and designed for PK-12 teachers and curriculum specialists to find, critique, and evaluate potential digital games for instruction, explore potential instructional strategies to use during digital game-based learning experiences, and determine meaningful assessment practices.
