Examine how causation of an injury is determined by using the occupational and non-occupational risk factors and comparing them to the risk factor guidelines outlined by the American Medical Association. Mr. Luebke will explain the importance of analyzing injuries and job tasks and how to conduct a thorough and insightful causation investigation. You’ll learn the process used to help a doctor determine compensability from actual claims submitted as work-related injuries — an office worker with carpal tunnel, a manufacturing worker with a shoulder injury, and a traumatic elbow injury from using a wrench.
