Ergonomics does not have a measure for seated spine posture that can be easily used at work, but in this session, you’ll discover two field measures. The first test is a qualitative measure for movement available at the base of the spine. The second measure tests the best strength of the legs in the chair, specifically the point at which the postural muscles can most easily support the body upright. You’ll hear how these two measures for posture and strength can show exactly where seating can be problematic, and how the workstation can be easily improved to make work healthy and productive.
