School systems now operate within a constant flow of rapid changes, and school transformation that meets the needs of today's learners demands visionary leadership rooted in innovative thinking. Creating and leading a culture of innovation is critical to the success of everyone involved in any school organization. In this highly collaborative workshop, you will examine the meanings of culture and innovation and share your own unique perspective. You will discuss current research on what defines organizational culture and how to develop a culture of innovation. After completing an individual communications style assessment, you will role-play the solving of an organizational problem through the lens of innovation within a variety of communication strategies. The workshop concludes with a review of essential leadership skills required in an age of innovation. You’ll receive a complimentary copy of Life Lessons in Leadership: The Way of the Wallaby by Ann McMullan & Michael Barrett.
