This course introduces the pivotal role of the dental hygienist and doctor to identify occlusal issues and provide guidelines on how to create patient value from the hygiene chair using diagnostically driven intraoral scanning software.  The participant will acquire a fundamental understanding of the consequences that the malocclusion may impose: occlusal trauma, attrition, abfractions and periodontal disease and the health benefits of the use of Invisalign clear aligner therapy to address and correct malocclusions. Evidence based research from private practices in North America are presented and translated into a patient-friendly manner, including the use of the digital integrated solutions provided by the intraoral scanner to promote an efficient and effective co-discovery consultations, ultimately providing increased health benefits for both patient and practice.
